Testimonials

We have two little boys, aged 4 and 5 years. We have been bringing both boys to swimming lessons since they were six months old. Both boys ended up being taught on a Saturday morning.  Their teacher’s patience and understanding of the challenges the boys faced was more than what we could ask for. She is one of the most delightful and caring teachers we have come across.

However, the main reason I am writing to you is to praise the efforts of the teacher who has taken over the Saturday morning class for one of our boys. He is absolutely amazing with our son. He seems to be very passionate about his swimming teaching, has a lovely gentle way with the children, and it is evident that the children adore him.  He is a credit to your business and deserves some credit for his dedication and ability to interact so well with his classes.

Kind regards,

Hi,

We started taking our 2 year old son to McKeon’s Swim School at Towradgi in April. We have been very impressed.

Our teacher is fantastic. Gabriel’s attitude to swimming changed almost immediately. One thing of particular interest is the "1,2,3 eyes under" process. This was new to Gabriel. Although he had no problem having his head put under water before, he really latched onto the idea and we played "1,2,3 eyes under" at home with him diving under a sheet. He is now saying "1,2,3 eyes under" and lowering his own head under the water... and coming up smiling! You can imagine our feelings of joy.

We also like how the teachers are with the children who don’t want their heads put under water. It is a much gentler approach than we experienced in other swimming schools.

Best wishes

Adult Program Feedback - February 2011

Hello,

For the last 2 years I have been coming to the Wednesday evening adult learn-to-swim class. I always said that I would keep coming until I could swim a 50m lap. I am proud to report that after some extra practice over the Christmas holidays, I am now able to do just that!

I realise that I still have lots of work to do before swimming will be a natural and comfortable activity for me. However, I think that what I need to do now is to keep practicing regularly on my own. I don't want to take up a place in the program that could be taken by someone who is more of a beginner - like I was 2 years ago. So I'm going to say goodbye for now. When my fitness level is a bit higher, I hope to return to attend a swim for fitness class, rather than a learn to swim class.

I want to thank the fabulous staff at McKeon's - Jenny & Gerri for their good humour and support each week, and especially my teachers over the two years, Jack and Chris. Both of them were wonderful and very encouraging every step of the way

I feel much more confident about my swimming these days and it's entirely due to you all. I will certainly sing the praises of McKeon's Swim Centre to anyone who will listen.

Thanks again and bye for now,

Susie Hamers

Responses from Customer Survey - Term 3 2010

What have you liked best about swimming this term?

  • Continually enthusiastic teachers
  • Everything; quality of teaching, lessons are fun, and our teacher is great
  • Our teacher is extremely dedicated and fantastic and correcting technique
  • Watching our child really enjoy learning how to swim
  • Choice in times and the friendly teachers. I think they try to do the best for my children
  • Seeing how much the children enjoy their lessons
  • The great support from all staff has allowed our daughters to progress in terms of swimming skills and social skills

Thanks for teaching pur four children to swim and enjoy it! This is the first time in about 12 years that we haven't got a child in swim class. They have decided to move into other sports more seriously, but they are all competant swimmers which allows them to enjoy school sports and the beach with confidence. It's great also to see a local business do so well! We have enjoyed our time with you.
