Leadership Team

McKeon's Swim School is lead by a team of experienced professionals.

Lloyd Rothwell - General Manager

Lloyd Rothwell was appointed General Manager of McKeon’s Swim School in March 2010. He has a passion for the great sport of swimming and a wealth of experience in the aquatic industry. Prior to relocating to Wollongong Lloyd worked in a number of managerial roles at several highly successful swim schools in Sydney including Carlile Swimming and Macquarie University. He is recently married and is also studying at university. Lloyd has an interest in most sports but away from work will more often than not be found in a pool, the surf or at a cafe.

Jenny Lum - Towradgi Manager

Jenny Lum has been involved in the swimming industry since starting as a teacher in 2003. She then extended her duties to include customer service and administration, and has now been managing of McKeon’s Swim School at Towradgi since 2006. Prior to that, she worked for over 13 years in the banking industry, which has given her a strong administrative and customer service background. In her spare time Jenny enjoys exercising in the great outdoors. She’s a keen swimmer and walker.

Richelle Jones - Customer Service Manager

Richelle Jones was appointed to the position of Customer Service Manager in January 2011, having originally started at McKeon’s Swim School in 2009. She previously worked as a Team Leader at a travel agency, which has allowed her to develop her skills in customer service, staff management, administration and sales. Her love of working with people makes her extremely popular at Unanderra where she is based. In her spare time Richelle enjoys spending time with her three small children, running, the beach and relaxing with friends.

James Greathead - Senior Assistant Coach

James Greathead is one of the most passionate and skilled young coaches in NSW. He currently coaches the Age Development Squad and assists with the Senior Squad, having started at McKeon’s as a learn to swim teacher in 2005. James has coached swimmers from development level through to National Age Championships. He has been involved in regional and state camps, as well as travelling to the USA in 2010 to assist Australian Olympic Coach Vince Raleigh on an altitude training camp. Away from the pool James enjoys exercising, spending time at the beach and good food.

Diane Beswick - Afternoon Program Team Leader (Unanderra)

Diane Beswick started work at McKeon’s Swim School as a learn to swim teacher in 2004. She has extensive experience in customer service, having spent more than 30 years in various management positions across a number of industries. She is a valued member of both the Customer Service and Deck Supervisor teams, as well as still teaching learn to swim on occassion. Diane has two adult children and is a talented photographer. She comes from a family of keen surfers and loves to swim in the ocean.

Nicole Costello - Morning Program Team Leader (Unanderra) / Community Education Coordinator

Nicole Costello began at McKeon’s Swim School as a swimming teacher in 1994. She has a strong swimming background in still water and the surf, achieving high results at both a state and national level. Her expertise in learn to swim is with babies and pre school aged children. She loves to see children progress to independent swimming, while also having fun and learning respect for the water. Nicole also has a great passion for spreading the water safety message. She is married with two daughters who both play representative soccer.

Gerri Kafer - Head Deck Supervisor (Towradgi)

Gerri Kafer is one of the most knowledgeable and respected teachers at McKeon’s Swim School. She has taught for many years in Sydney, Cairns and Wollongong. We have been lucky enough to have her with us for almost 10 years now! Gerri has a wealth of experience working with children, also having been previously employed as a teacher’s aide. She has a background in graphic art and helped paint the fantastic full size wall murals at both our Unanderra and Towradgi pools. Gerri and her husband have two adult children.

Liz Green - No Limits Program Coordinator

Liz Green is our No Limits Program Coordinator and has been teaching swimming for over 7 years. She has a passion for working with people with disabilities and is one of Australia’s most respected authorities on teaching swimming to those with special needs. In addition to being a key member of staff at McKeon’s Swim School, Liz also works for the Life without Barriers organisation. She has two daughters who are involved in surf lifesaving and loves to cook.

Christine Antrobus - Training Coordinator

Christine Antrobus has been employed at McKeon’s Swim School since 1999. She is currently responsible for coordinating the staff training program across the Swim School, as well as being a Deck Supervisor and teacher. Christine has 12 years of customer service and supervisory experience within the Commonwealth Public Service.  These skills have helped to make her a valuable mentor to new teachers, as well as a great Supervisor and teacher. She has two children who are heavily involved in local sport which takes up much of her spare time.
